The Strokes confirmed for the first festival in 2019
The Strokes were confirmed for their first festival in 2019. The New York band returns to Europe to play at BBK Live in Bilbao in July.
This is the first big announcement for the band since 2017. The Strokes last played at Lollapalooza festivals in South America (Chile, Argentina and Brazil) and also Estereo Picnic Festival in Colombia, all in 2017. Today, the band was confirmed for the Spanish festival that takes place in July, 11-13.
Also announced for BBK Live are Suede, Sleaford Mods, Vince Staples, Rosalía, Cut Copy, Brockhampton, Hot Chip, The Blaze, Princess Nokia, Modeselektor, Yaeji, Slaves, Idles, Shame, Nils Frahm, Kero Kero Bonito and Thom Yorke. But that's not all. Julian Casablancas, for example, is playing with The Strokes but also with his side project The Voidz. And many local favorites are also on the bill such as Vetusta Morla, Mueveloreina and others. All these new names are joining the first and only confirmation until now: Weezer.
In 2018, BBK Live presented the likes of Gorillaz, Childish Gambino, Florence + The Machine, The xx, The Chemcical Brothers, Alt-J, Friendly Fires, Parquet Courts, David Byrne, Noel Gallagher, Cigarettes After Sex, James, Mount Kimbie, Jungle, Fischerspooner and many more.
