There's a new festival for the 80's alternative music fans to take place this May in Los Angeles, CA. The Cruel World Festival promises Morrissey, Blondie, Devo and plenty more.
The one-day event is set for May 2 at The Grounds At Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles. Joining the artists mentioned above are Bauhaus, Echo & The Bunnymen
, The Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes, The Church, The (English) Beat
, Public Image LTD, Gary Numan, Marc Almond, She Wants Revenge, Blaqk Audio,
Bad Manners, Drab Majesty, TR/ST and more.
The festival's name reffers to Elvis Costello’s 1984 album “Goodbye Cruel World". Tickets go on sale this Friday, 14.
