New Creation Day Festival to take place in Wolverhampton
There's a new festival to take place next year in Wolverhampton, in the UK. It's called Creation Day Festival and his full presented by Creation Records boss Alan McGee.
The two-day music event is going down next May, from 29 to 30 and will feature the likes of Happy Mondays, Editors, Friendly Fires, Echo & The Bunnymen, Sleeper, Cast, Ash, Glasvegas, Echobelly, The Wedding Present, Heavy Lungs, The Illicits
and others. The festival will take place at Wolverhampton's West Park.
McGee's record label Creation was the home to very important acts such as Oasis, Primal Scream, Ride
or The Jesus & Mary Chain
. Founder Alan McGee said "I’m looking forward to this one, some of the best old bands with some of the best new bands. I can’t wait to come and bring it all to Wolverhampton. Creation Day is the first time we have done anything like this since doing it for the kids. Hopefully we can do this every year."
Presale tickets for Creation Day Festival are available from October 21 and go on general sale on October 23, priced at £110 for the weekend and £55 for each day. With government restrictions around COVID-19 virus developing, details are subject to change.
